Ras Mohammed National Park is located at the confluence of the Gulf of Suez and the Gulf of Aqaba in South Sinai, about 12 square kilometers from the city of Sharm El Sheikh. The reserve is one of Sinai’s most famous landmarks and is classified as a World Heritage Site. The eastern edge of the reserve represents a rocky wall with the waters of the bay in which there are coral reefs. The mangrove canal separates the Ras Muhammad Peninsula from Al-Ba’ira Island with a length of about 250 meters.

About Ras Mohammed National Park

Ras Mohammed National Park is located at the confluence of the Gulf of Suez and the Gulf of Aqaba in South Sinai, about 12 kilometers from the city of Sharm El Sheikh. The reserve is one of Sinai’s most famous landmarks, and it was declared a nature reserve in 1983 and is classified as a World Heritage Site, with an area of 850 square kilometers. The eastern edge of the park represents a rocky wall with the waters of the Gulf, where coral reefs are found, and the mangrove channel separates the Ras Mohammed peninsula from Baera Island with a length of about 250 meters.

The Ras Mohammed National Park is characterized by deep-sea coral beaches, colorful fish,

endangered sea turtles, rare aquatic life, and migratory birds, and coral reefs surround Ras Mohammed on all its sea sides, and below the peninsula there are many water caves.

The park is home to many birds and wild animals, and there are many species of marine animals as well as about 150 species of coral reefs, and there are also many fossils ranging in age from 75,000 years old to 20 million years old. The park is one of the most beautiful diving places in the world and one of its most important attractions: The magic lake area, which depends on the movement of the tides, the ancient earthquake area, the mangrove channel area, coral and bird watching points, in addition to the beach area for swimming.

Excursion program

The trip starts by going first to the Marsa Berekeh area to see the enchanted lake and mangroves, then go to the swimming area and snorkeling for about an hour, then a break to enjoy the beauty of nature, eat lunch and drink Bedouin tea, then return to the hotel
